1996-05-10 - Yeah, I know. These times suck. But this was with a car that had about 152,000 miles on it. And it was normally aspirated. I'd never done this before, and the car was bone stock. I don't even think I'd changed the spark plugs/wires/dist/rotor in the 50,000 miles I'd had it. Also had about 100 lbs worth of speakers and box in the back. So, here are the numbers. This was done at Phoenix Raceway Park. The name has since changed, and I'm planning on heading out there again soon to see what the car will run once I get a few little things fixed. And a tune-up.
This was a bracket race night. I ended up taking home a second place trophy. I was really happy about it. Oh, and pass 8 was a bye run (no opponent), so I didn't run nearly as hard.

2003-01-23 - Well, I finally got up the ballz to go race the AE. For this race, the car is basically stock. All that it has is a 9" K&N cone filter. It is running stock boost. It is running a full exhaust including the catalytic convertor. The only thing removed from the car was all the extra junk I had laying around in it. The full tool set, spare tire, door panels, etc were all in the car. A perfect light is 0.500. Anything less is a red light. My first run was a horrible reaction time. I over heard the announcer on someone else who did a one second RT say "I guess he was looking for a particular shade of green." I wonder what they said of me. If I take out the first run's reaction time, I have an average RT of 0.745 and a spread of 0.273.

2003-03-27 - This was my second go with the AE. This time around, I had the full Certified Muffler 3" exhaust from the turbo back.

2003-08-08 - This time around, I took the NA out to run it since it hasn't been run in over 6 years. The only modification to the car is the K&N air filter. Everything else is stock. It also had a good cat in it.

2003-11-07 - This was the 3rd go with the AE. I finally got the A'PEXi AVC-R boost controller installed along with the MSD Digital SCIPlus electronic ignition system. I tried running 14 psi, but the boost controller settings were all messed up because I didn't know what I was doing. Basically, it would spike to 14 or more psi, then drop quickly to 11 psi or so and continue dropping until I shifted. I never got a full good run at 14 psi, so that will have to wait until next weekend.

2004-05-07 - This was the 4th go with the AE. I put an 87 turbo transmission in with RedLine MT90 fluid. Everything held up fine. With only one exception, I just couldn't get a nice launch.
